Ecology / Nature Conservation
The EC Habitats Directive placed an obligation on all Local Planning Authorities to require the protection of bats, owls, badgers, newts and other endangered species. Working with specialist Ecologists we have prepared a number of schemes for wildlife habitat management and creation. This often forms part of the green infrastructure for new development but an increasing number of clients with rural estates and large gardens are interested in creating semi-natural areas for wildlife.
Our services include:
- Ecological surveys using expert consultants
- Surveys and reports to support planning applications
- Designs and specifications for measures of protection, mitigation and restoration
- Landscape designs and detailed planting designs for the creation of semi-natural areas for wildlife
- Selection of indigenous plants of local provenance from specialist suppliers
- Contract documentation and tendering
- Contract management and supervision
- Specifications for future maintenance
Clients include:
- Lighthouse Oxford Limited
- P D Hook Limited
- Banbury Town Council
- Natco Foods Limited
