Tree Survey to BS 5837 for Large Retail and Warehouse Park Development in Chichester
Tom Whitehead MRTPI, Town Planning Manager at Brookhouse Group has congratulated all those involved with the project as they have just received notification that the Local Planning Authority has granted approval for Phase 1 of their development at Barnfield Drive, Chichester. Sacha Barnes Limited were appointed as Consultant Arboriculturalists and prepared a very comprehensive report on trees covering both phases of the retail and warehouse park site.
Jeremy led the tree survey and was pleased to receive this excellent news. As Jeremy explained, " The site at Barnfield Drive presented some interesting challenges as part of it had been used for landfill and the regeneration of scrub tree cover made access for tree measurement and assessment really difficult. The site adjoins residential development on two sides and I was met by several curious neighbours wondering what I was up to pushing through the great thickets of bramble and scrub vegetation. I am particularly pleased that the Local Planning Authority has accepted our recommendations and the method statements we prepared. It has been a pleasure to be part of the project team."
